The B.C. Asian Review has temporarily suspended publication until September 2006. In the meantime, we will not be accepting submissions of articles or book reviews until further notice. Please check this website after September 2006 for further updates. The B.C. Asian Review is a refereed journal in the humanities produced by graduate students in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia. This journal exists as a forum for the presentation of original academic work by up-and-coming and established scholars. The B.C. Asian Review features graduate research on Asia-related topics primarily in fields within the humanities, including textual studies and other forms of critical analysis, as well as translations and reviews. We welcome contributions from present and former graduate students engaged in the research of China, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
We welcome feedback concerning our articles and hope to cultivate dialogue among graduate students of Asian Studies.
